30-Day Self-Care Challenge

For the next 30 days, pick one or more, maybe all from the following list, and do it/them daily. If you created a different self-care action to use let me know in the comments. It’s all about doing something special that’s just for you.

Tell me how it is going, and any struggles you have. And definitely let me know when you’ve finished. How does it feel? What’s changed? Are you calmer? Are you able to be more present for other things?

  1. Take a 10-minute mindful walk
  2. Write down 3 things you are grateful for
  3. Cook a healthy meal for yourself
  4. Spend 20 minutes meditating
  5. Write a letter to your future self
  6. Practice deep breathing for 10 minutes
  7. Call or meet a friend for a heart-to-heart talk
  8. Take a break from your mobile phone for the entire day
  9. Try a new yoga pose
  10. Take a long, relaxing bath
  11. Visit a park or nature preserve
  12. Listen to your favorite music
  13. Spend time with a pet
  14. Do a random act of kindness
  15. Say “No” to a commitment you’re not excited about
  16. Write about a happy memory
  17. Try a new hobby or revisit an old one
  18. Watch your favorite movie
  19. Go to bed half an hour earlier
  20. Do something spontaneous
  21. Buy yourself a small gift
  22. Read a chapter of a book
  23. Try a new tea or coffee flavor
  24. Spend time in the sun
  25. Write down 3 things you love about yourself
  26. Practice mindfulness while doing a daily task
  27. Take the day off chores and errands
  28. Practice self-massage
  29. Do something creative
  30. Reflect on the progress you’ve made this month
